St Helens were established in 1873 and have been Premiers 12 times. They are also the second most successful team in regards to Challenge Cup wins in the UK Super League. A number of big name coaches have taken the helm of this great club throughout the 2000's including Ian Millward, Daniel Anderson and Mick Potter, with all having seen varying degress of success over this period including 3 Premierships and 2 World Club Challenges.
In 2010 the team made the Super League Grand Final for the fifth consecutive year. 2011 will see Royce Simmons take over as head coach and the home games move to Halton Stadium as they prepare to make a permanent move to their new playing and training facility in 2012.
