The Western Force was established in 2006 and is the fourth of Australia’s Super Rugby teams that compete against New Zealand and South African based teams in the SANZAR rugby competition.
Based out of Perth, the team is lead by head coach Richard Graham and inaugural captain Nathan Sharpe.
The 2010 season saw Wallaby superstars James O’Connor and David Pocock emerge as leaders of the team. In 2011 the Force will again rely on these players, as well as other high profile stars Matt Dunning and Scott Staniforth to lead them to their inaugural Super Rugby title.
