The Penrith Panthers were established in 1967 and has won two premierships, against the Raiders in 1991 and the Sydney Roosters in 2003.
The club boasts 16 international players and two tests Captains in Brad Fittler and Craig Gower. In 2010 the Panthers were again a force to be reckoned with and finished second at the end of the home and away season, making the finals for the first time since 2004. Unfortunately they suffered a number of injuries in the finals and were beaten by Canberra and the Roosters in weeks one and two. In 2011 they will look to top point scorer Michael Gordon and young guns Lachlan Coote and Luck Walsh to again take them to the top of the premiership.
