The Parramatta Eels were founded in 1947. This successful NRL club has impressively won 4 first grade premierships and appeared in 9 grand finals throughout the clubs history.
The Eels won their first premiership in 1981 against Newtown with a score line of 20-11. It took Parramatta 34 years to win their first premiership. A triumph that quickly became a "three-peat" as the Eels dominated rugby league in the early and mid 1980's.
With their successful form coming from the bottom of the ladder and heading into the grand final in 2009 the Eels are a team to watch in the upcoming 2010 season.
