The Fremantle Football Club was established in 1995 and became the second Western Australian team admitted to the AFL. Fremantle has a long history with Australian Football in Western Australia two teams representing the area in the Western Australian Football League for over 100 years.
In 2010 Fremantle earned only their third ever home final by finishing 6th overall and won the game against Hawthorn comprehensively. The following week they were beaten by the Geelong Cats.
2011 will see Mark Harvey and Mathew Pavlich continue to drive Fremantle to their first ever premiership.
